A lot of people may not want to give their entire testimony in a book or even tell it, for that matter. They may feel if they did they would give Satan all the fame instead of God, who brought them out of that despair. However, what about all of the ones who are going through what you have already been through? I believe people connect with others in knowing that they’ve been there. I feel like God allows us to go through crisis in our lives in order to help pull other people out of a similar situation they are going through. If I can help just one person by telling my entire testimony and prevent them from going down into the pit of depression, destruction, despair, and disillusionment, as I did, then it will all be worth it. I wish more women would be like the woman in the Bible who knew if she could just touch the garment of Jesus as he walked by, she would be healed. I also wish more women would open up about their lives and what they’ve been through like the woman at the well in Samaria in the Bible. She had a radical encounter with Jesus and let the whole town know about it in hopes that they would believe in Him also. I have skeletons in my closet that should probably stay there according to Satan, but, if I open the door to let others know how Jesus redeemed me, I won’t regret it.

If you are not fired with enthusiasm, you will be.

The apostle Paul exhorts us to Work with enthusiasm as though you were working for the LORD rather than for people (Ephesians 6:7 NLT). Have life’s dragons really been created for the express purpose of picking their teeth with the splinters of human bone? No! Obscure persons, whether in this life or the next will fare well if they have carried out their duties faithfully and with enthusiasm.

Recipes for dragon slayers

This eclectic compilation of stories, anecdotes, humorous illustrations, and treats for the palette, is presented to help the reader season-to-taste, if not slay some of his or her personal life dragons, whether they be hiding around the corner, in the conference room, or in the kitchen.

Growing up in a small Southern town can be a phenomenal experience for a young boy who has any measure of curiosity and imagination. Whimsical tales of youthful frolic and childish nonsense provide a jovial flair to memories of yesteryear. But when a shameful secret of monumental magnitude rears its’ ugly head and penetrates the soul of a young man, it causes him to wonder who he really is; and, if who his very own father claimed to be was, in fact, reality.
In “60 Cents”, Brad Hulsey’s life journey takes you through a myriad of high and low moments that exemplify the triumphs, struggles and realities that all humankind faces. Brad’s startling revelations and long-sought-after redemption and reconciliation stir a multitude of feelings and emotions that, ultimately, lead to new-found self-recognition and eventual forgiveness for the sins of the father – and the grandfathers.

In life, we all will experience storms that are out of our control. It is how we react to those storms that will impact others.

Collins Dixon is our youngest son and the inspiration to share this book. When Collins was 11 years old we found out that he had a brain tumor that was rare for a child.

Collins not only relied solely on the Lord during this time but showed us all how to live with faith, courage, and strength beyond his years.

He said that God must have chosen him for this journey. Because of Collins’ strength and faith, we all lived like he wasn’t dying.

This Volume is an autobiography, a collection of stories, anecdotes and vignettes, mostly chronological but some topical, as I remember the events and the times in which they occurred. It is my recollection about life as I saw it and lived it, the good times and the not-so-good, life as viewed through the eyes of an eternal optimist and dreamer who had his share of ups and downs. I have had a good life, an interesting life, a life full of constant challenges and decisions, a time filled with opportunities sought and goals achieved. As you'll read, I still remember a lot of it --- and in more detail than you might expect. They were written to be readable and informative and hopefully enjoyable.

Poster1Most folks spell love as a four-letter word. I add two more letters, factor in four fur-covered paws and call her Ginger. This beloved dog spent fourteen years trying to teach me the finer points of love and life, claiming success despite the hefty handicap of my human flaws. We spent more time together than I've ever managed to accomplish with any human being. Call me crazy; I preferred it that way. Ginger's trail of footprints still guide me today in the garden of life, though time and nature's daily stamp of approval wear down the deepness of their tracks. They serve as comforting reminders that even though she's gone, her mark on my life will never be forgotten. 91nLa8pAIpL[1]This is the story of a unique life, lived with God - just as she lived it with me, her family, her friends, her new acquaintances, or with you (if you were one of the fortunate to have had a personal encounter with Jan, anytime or anywhere.) She would talk, listen or pray with anyone on the spot, always turning the conversation to you, even though she may be the one you came to pray with and bless. Jan lived an exciting life of seventy-five years. And, yes, it did have its challenges with polio at the age of twelve. Her left side was paralyzed. She was told she would never live a normal life and never have children. But, she prayed and gave her life to God and He healed her in a year. She lived an incredibly wonderful and fulfilled life.
